Position: 4Friends Ministry Volunteer

Overview: The 4Friends Ministry seeks to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals with special needs, ensuring they have the opportunity to experience the love of God and grow in their faith within the Temple community.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a buddy or mentor to individuals with special needs, providing one-on-one support and companionship during ministry events and activities.
• Participate in training sessions to learn how to best support individuals with special needs and understand their unique challenges and strengths.
• Assist in implementing ministry programs and activities, including but not limited to Bible Fellowship, worship services, and special events, ensuring that individuals with special needs are included and engaged.
• Foster a safe and nurturing environment for individuals with special needs, promoting their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
• Communicate effectively with ministry leaders, parents, and caregivers to understand the specific needs and preferences of individuals with special needs and ensure their needs are met.
• Uphold the values and mission of Temple Baptist Church, serving as a positive role model and ambassador for the church in the community.
• Collaborate with other volunteers and ministry leaders to create a supportive and inclusive community for individuals with special needs and their families.

Qualifications:

• Compassionate and patient attitude towards individuals with special needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with individuals of all ages and abilities.
• Willingness to participate in training and ongoing education related to special needs ministry.
• Commitment to upholding the values and mission of Temple Baptist Church.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of volunteers and ministry leaders.
