Position: Wednesday Night Equipping Class Teacher
Overview: The Wednesday Night Equipping Class Teacher is responsible for leading and facilitating an equipping class on Wednesday nights at [Church Name]. Equipping classes are designed to help participants grow in their faith and knowledge of the Bible. Classes are typically 8 or 16 weeks long and take place in the fall and spring.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and teach engaging and biblically sound lessons for the assigned equipping class.
- Create a welcoming and interactive learning environment for class participants.
- Develop class materials, including handouts, presentations, and discussion questions.
- Lead class discussions and encourage active participation from class members.
- Provide pastoral care and support to class members as needed.
- Ensure class content aligns with the overall vision and goals of Temple.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings for equipping class teachers.
- Communicate effectively with class participants, providing updates and information about the class as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous teaching or leadership experience, preferably in a church or ministry setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and deliver engaging and relevant lessons.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other ministry leaders and volunteers.
- Commitment to personal spiritual growth and development.
Time Commitment:
- Wednesday nights during the fall and spring equipping class sessions.
- Additional time for lesson preparation, training sessions, and meetings as needed.
Training and Support:
- Training and resources will be provided to help teachers prepare for their classes.
- Ongoing support and feedback
