1st-5th Grade
We are so excited to see your child at church each week!
If you are not able to join us in person, that’s ok! Check out Temple Kids TV for fun music, games, and great Bible stories each week. There is also an easy-to-use parent guide with fun activities and discussion cues.
Are you new to Temple Baptist Church?
Whether you're new to our area, new to Temple, or just in town for a visit, our Children's Ministry Team wants your family to have a wonderful experience while on our campus. When you arrive, please come to our Children's Welcome Desk. Our greeters will help you register your child and take them to their classroom. At check in, you will fill out a form with your contact information, names of other kids in your family, and any allergies. Then you and your 1st - 5th grade child will both be given a sticker. One sticker goes on your child, and you must have the other sticker to pick your child up. If we need to contact you, we will call or text.
Sunday Mornings
Our Sunday mornings are full of energy and fun. We give your child opportunities to experience worship, learn age-appropriate biblical truth, and build relationships with leaders and peers. We strive to create an environment that is kid-friendly and Christ-centered. Families worship together during the 9:00 a.m. worship service, then your 1st-5th grader will participate in Bible Fellowship during the 10:30 a.m. hour.
Midweek
AWANA 1st - 3rd Grade
On Wednesday nights, during the school year, at 6PM we offer AWANA for 1st - 3rd grade. AWANA focuses on scripture memorization. Your child will have the opportunity to participate in small group and large group, where we use fun games and activities to help memorize scripture and learn how to apply it to our lives. Twice a semester, kids get to spend AWANA bucks they have earned in our awesome AWANA store!
Quest 4th - 5th Grade
Quest meets at 6PM on Wednesdays during the school year. Quest is an environment designed with your preteen in mind. Your 4th or 5th grader is at a unique stage in their physical, emotional, and spiritual development. They are no longer a little kid, but they aren't quite a teenager. During Quest on Wednesday nights, we help preteens discover a faith of their own. We sing worship songs, teach stories from the Bible, and incorporate fun games each week. Your preteen will have both large group and small group times each week. Our leaders will celebrate every step your preteen takes as they continue to find themselves in God's story.
Baptism
Faith can be a big thing to explain to your kids, and they may have questions along the way. Our baptism class helps parents and kids learn what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus. There is no pressure put on you or your child at this class. We want to equip you and your child on this journey to follow Christ. Guiding children to take those first steps of faith can be the most rewarding opportunity for a parent or grandparent. The baptism class is offered once a quarter.
